Last updated: January 8, 2026

This User Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request deletion of personal data that we process when you use our website update service or contact us for customer support.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

tend ("we", "us", "our")
Email: hello@meettend.com

We act as the data controller for personal data processed through our service.

2. What data this Policy covers

This Policy applies to personal data we process when you use our service, including:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number;
  • Messages, requests, images, files, and other content you send us;
  • Support notes related to your requests;
  • Technical and usage data (timestamps, message status, internal ticket IDs).

3. How to request deletion of your data

You can request deletion of your personal data by contacting us:

Email
Send an email to hello@meettend.com with the subject line:
Data Deletion Request

Include your email address and any additional details that help us identify your records (e.g. approximate dates, topics of communication).

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

4. What we delete

When we process a valid deletion request, we will (subject to legal obligations):

  • Delete or irreversibly anonymize:
    • Communication history stored in our systems;
    • Internal support notes linked to your account;
    • Ticket IDs or references that can identify you;
    • Files and content you provided to us.

Deletion applies to data we store in our own systems and in systems of our processors (service providers) acting on our behalf.

5. Data we may need to retain

In some cases, we may need to retain certain data for a limited period even after a deletion request, for example:

  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g. accounting, tax, regulatory requirements);
  • To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  • To prove that we complied with data protection requirements (e.g. logs of your deletion request).

Where we retain data for these reasons, we will restrict its use to those specific purposes and delete it when no longer needed.

6. Processing time

We aim to respond to your deletion request within 30 days.

In some cases (e.g. complex requests or high volume) we may need more time; if so, we will inform you and explain why.

7. Effect of deletion

Once your data is deleted:

  • We will no longer have access to your previous communications and support history;
  • We may not be able to refer to past issues or context if you contact us again;
  • Any active services or accounts associated with your data may be terminated.

8. Your other rights

Depending on your location (e.g. EEA, UK), you may have additional rights under data protection law, such as:

  • Access to your personal data;
  • Rectification (correction) of inaccurate data;
  • Restriction of processing;
  • Data portability;
  • Objection to certain forms of processing.
