You're not here to train models—that's what OpenAI's billions are for. You're here to squeeze every drop of magic out of the APIs we already pay for. When a prompt works 80% of the time, it bothers you until it hits 95%. When a new model drops, you've got evals running before Twitter finishes arguing about it. You think in tokens and latency, but you ship in user delight. Voice is our thing—customers *talk* to tend—so Deepgram and ElevenLabs experience gets you bonus points. We don't need AI for AI's sake. We need AI that makes a bakery owner in São Paulo feel like they have a web design team in their pocket. Pragmatism over papers. Results over research.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Strong prompt engineering skills—you can systematically improve outputs
- Experience building evaluation pipelines for AI systems
- TypeScript/Python proficiency
- Obsession with measuring and improving quality
Nice to Have
- Voice AI experience (Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Whisper)
- Experience optimizing AI costs at scale
- Background in NLP or conversational AI
- Familiarity with model fine-tuning (even if we don't do it)
